Road Meet/get-together

I'm trying to have a get-together to drive the Ohio River Scenic Byway (IN SR66) at least once a month. The one for May is the Saturday the 23rd. We're meeting at Bed Bath & Beyond at 10 A.M. and heading out around 10:30. We'll be stopping midway at a shelter area on the Ohio for a cookout-style lunch, so bring something to grill or a side item if you like.

Just as a heads up, this is NOT a race and NO drifting will be tolerated. It is simply a fun drive on some Southern Indiana's nicest roads. Anyone with a vehicle and a driver's license is invited, so don't think your car has to be anything special to come out.

Listen guys, if you've never been on this road, u REALLY should go...

Now I'm not gonna say go on this road and act a fool, cause a lot of ppl from other forums will be driving too and they/I DONT want to draw unwanted attention... I'll be straight up honest with u guys, this road can get pretty hairy in places and there's a lot of areas where one can get hurt seriously or even killed... So whoever goes PLEASE show respect for the other drivers and give them enough distance between. And especially at high speed, err I meant sight seeing, stay back... Please no tailgating.

There are certain portions of this road I'll "go higher than the posted speed limit"... I'm fairly certain I'll prolly be a lead car and if I am, I'll give a hand signal I'm about to hammer it. So whoever decides they wanna follow, just gimme space between cars and we'll be fine. Any hard turns or hairy places that come up, I'll tap my brakes a couple of times to forwarn ya too...

For those of u that are just gonna cruise it, (yeah right) just stay with the slower pack, so not to get lost ok?

As redheadude (Jason) posted, This is not a race or drift contest, so PLEASE keep that in mind... We're out to have a good time, be around cool ppl, and enjoy the scenery/road.

I still can't stress enough that this is NOT a race! If you're tailgating, "drifting", passing in a no-passing zone, or just driving unsafe in any way you will be asked to leave the group. We do go over the posted speed limit a few times on the road, but only if there is no other traffic in view.

Also, since it is a cookout, you must bring something to contribute.It won't be fun for the people that bring something if they don't get to eat any of it.

well so far we have upwards of 10 ppl from hostile and upwards of 10 more ppl from the other boards. If that many ppl roll in this meet, WE REALLY NEED TO WATCH EACH OTHERS BACKS... That includes this crew, as well as the others...

I don't know how the Po Po is gonna be on this road, so we REALLY have to be observant ok?if we have upwards of 20 cars rollin at this meet that will stand out BAD, so try to "behave" when we roll by the locals. Don't wanna attract a shitload of attention... COOL?

Also, cause there's gonna be a cookout, bring food/drink or something ok?

I'm sure you have all noticed already, but Jon and I decided to move the event to Sunday (since it's supposed to storm Saturday, and Jon doesn't know how to ask off work properly ). Everyone knows you rub the balls while you suck.

Last time I checked, it is supposed to rain sunday too.

I just did this ride. Prolly the best ride I have ever done on the bike. I'm at the overlook now.
