Gateway Motorsports Park OPEN HOUSE! March 10

The time we have all been waiting for has finally arrived! Gateway's grand opening for 2012 is just a month away so get your shit ready boys and girls! DriftSTL has been invited to set up a booth, show some cars and hand out some materials to re-spark interest in our sport here in St. Louis.

Our 2012 schedule is being reviewed and should hopefully be released at this kick off event, but it is important that we make a great impression on GMP in the mean time. We ask that you lend your full support of the open house, bring yourself, your friends and family. Let them know you want DriftSTL to be running strong again. They are giving us this opportunity. Let's make the most of it.

Like them on facebook and tell them we are here to support drifting in STL.

BIG PLANS FOR GATEWAY MOTORSPORTS PARK

The future at Gateway is happening now.

March 2012 the gates open to the start of a new day and a new attitude at Gateway Motorsports Park. Curtis Francois and the Gateway Acquisition Inc. team are changing the landscape at Gateway 180o.

The vision at Gateway is to use grass roots support to create a racing and entertainment venue that takes motorsports to new heights in the St. Louis region and becomes the envy of racing facilities around the country.

This will be done by creating a racing lifestyle that attracts everyone from enthusiasts, professionals, amateurs and street-car lovers; and by introducing the incredible world of motorsports to thousands of people who have yet to discover the excitement of racing.

Gateway invites everyone who has ever felt the thrill of driving fast – young and old, male and female, grandparents and moms, lawyers and mechanics, plumbers and teachers – to live the racing experience up close and personal.

The new local ownership is investing time and resources to update and utilize all of Gateway’s venues. Gateway is a major league motorsports complex that will accommodate all kinds of events on the drag strip, the oval and the road racing track.

Plans include driving schools and corporate events on all of the venues including a new karting facility with private storage facilities. And, for the serious auto enthusiasts, the new Founders Club VIP garages with a private clubhouse facility.

The 2012 racing season is jam-packed with over 125 days of racing already on the schedule with more to be added soon. The schedule kicks off with a Test and Tune on St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 17.

The inaugural racing season is highlighted by the NHRA Midwest Nationals September 28-30. But fans can get their racing fix with the most drag races seen at Gateway in decades – this includes ADRL events, UBDRA Black Sunday, Super Chevy and Fun Ford Events, as well as weekly sportsman racing and Midnight Madness.

2012 also brings back two wildly popular car shows: Super Chevy Show and Fun Ford Weekend. The oval and road course tracks will get plenty of action between the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), Porsche Club of America, Midwest Cafe Racing Association and National Auto Sport Association. Gateway will also host driving schools –Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure and Richard Petty Driving Experience and Rusty Wallace Racing Experience. NASCAR will also have a presence with team track rental.

Non-racing events such as concerts, car shows, swap meets and other special events will take place at Gateway as well.

Gateway Motorsports Park is going to be much more than just racing. It is going to be your year-round entertainment venue for more than 350,000 eager fans. The roar of racing will soon be heard across the St. Louis Region again!

    IT'S A NEW DAY....RACE GATEWAY!!!
